This Queen Anne/East Lake style Victorian was built in 1886 by J.C. Beck. A. Massolt was the original owner, partner in the Wm. Massolt Bottling Co., 126 & 128 Plymouth Avenue, which brewed a variety of beverages including Birch Beer, Root Beer, a variety of ciders and mineral waters (currently the site of Standard Heating and Air Conditioning). Current owners purchased in 2000 and proceeded to restore this magnificent home to it's former glory. The 2.5 story wood-clad house features a dominant east-facing front with patterned shingles on the 3rd floor gable and a full-width, one-story porch with turned spindle work ornamentation on porch balustrade, a frieze suspended from porch ceiling, and lacy, decorative spandrels located under the porch roof. Features on the south facade include an ornate oriel window with patterned fish scale shingles, a prominet two-story bay with intricate stain glass windows, and a one-story porch with turned spindle work ornamentaion on the porch balustrade and suspended frieze from the porch ceiling.
